You Won’t Find This At Starbucks — By Amasing

According to the , 54% of Americans 18 and over drink coffee. Within that demographic, they drink on average 3.1 cups a day (roughly 9 oz. a cup). Americans spend annually, $40 billion to get their stimulant kick. Starbucks, the mega coffee chain charged $23.60 for their Java Chip Frappuccino in a Trenta cup. Sounds pricey? You’ve never tried elephant poop!

At $50 a cup, it’ll blow your wallet and taste buds away. Feeding these animals’ pure Arabica beans, bananas, sugar cane, and other natural ingredients makes this unique coffee called “Black Ivory Coffee.”

Blake Dinkin
Before PETA and other naturalist groups freak out, a Canadian-based veterinarian group confirmed that elephants don’t absorb all that caffeine. But why would you use elephants? "When an elephant eats coffee, its stomach acid breaks down the protein found in coffee, which is a key factor in bitterness. You end up with a cup that's very smooth without the bitterness of regular coffee” said Blake Dinkin the 42-year-old Canadian, who has a background in civet coffee.

At $1,100 per kilogram ($500 per pound), you won’t find a one pound bag of Black Ivory Coffee beans at your local Starbucks holiday sale rack anytime soon.

Still, don’t encourage your kids to eat rabbit poop even though they look like chocolate covered raisins.
