DNA Testing, Not Just for Criminals
We have all read or have heard of someone in prison who was
wrongfully put there. After having DNA
testing results, they were freed and true justice was served.
There is a group called the “Innocence
Project” who has proven innocent through the discovery of new evidence such as
DNA. The Innocence Project has proven the innocence of 202 prisoners who have
collectively spent nearly 2,500 years in prison for crimes they did
not commit.
Larry Fuller, center, is freed in October 2006, exonerated by
DNA evidence after he served more than 25 years in prison for aggravated rape.
He is flanked by Innocence Project lawyers Barry Scheck and Vanessa Potkin.
DNA testing isn’t just used to free people wrongly accused, how
about busting dog owners? I use to work
in Harlem and I’d always see dog crap
everywhere, certainly not a very pleasant sight. The people in Seattle, Washington
are just sick of it!
A company called BioPet Vet Lab from Knoxville, Tennessee, is providing its PooPrints testing kits to 26 apartment and condo complexes and homeowners associations in the region.

According to the Seattle Times, Seattle has 50 percent more dogs than kids so
there is a growing problem of owners “not” picking up after their pets.
Erin Atkinson, property manager at Potala Village Apartments in Everett says the messes are all over. That's why, since February 2014, tenants have been paying a "one-time fee of $29.95 for DNA testing."
The fines added up this way: $59.95 to have the poop tested, and $50 to the complex for the hassle of collecting the sample. "One person was fined five times in one week," she said. "That's over $500. Now people clean up after their dogs."
Maybe we should push for this in New York!
By the way, I am a dog lover so I’m not trying to bash dog owners. Still shit is shit and nobody wants to see
shit unless you own a porta potty company. — Amasing | COGNITIVE DRIFT
