Ryan Gosling - Hollywood actor turned "real-life" Superhero |
411: Ryan Gosling was a child star on the Disney Channel's Mickey Mouse Club and made the transition to teen actor & eventually a successful Hollywood actor — Remember the Titans (2000), The Believer (2001), Murder by Numbers (2002), The Notebook (2004) & Crazy, Stupid, Love (2011) — a feat that many child stars fail to achieve.
In August 2011, Ryan Gosling randomly intervened and broke-up an altercation – in the middle of the street, on Astor Place, New York City between two men over a painting. As you can see in the following video, two men begin jostling over the painting...as the "tug-of-war" escalates, the two guys begin wrestling while feeble on-lookers try unsuccessfully to stop them.
Suddenly, like a script out of a Marvel superhero movie — "It's a bird...it's a plane...it's Ryan Gosling rockin' a blue cap & nautical striped tank top!" Armed w/ a shopping bags & bulging bi-ceps, Gosling steps into the fray and strong-arms one of the men w/ a wrist-hold! He momentarily subdues the attacker and eventually separates the two; directing them towards the sidewalk while seemingly directing traffic as well! The footage was captured by two –somewhat annoying girls who transformed into two "overly-giggly" groupie chicks when they found-out it was the actor from The Notebook (2004).
Ryan Gosling breaks up fight in New York City!
And if that wasn't enough to prove to you he's a superhero disguised/pretending to be one of Hollywood's leading men...fast forward a year later to April 2012, the Oscar-nominated actor, is back to his "heroic" ways — this time, by saving a British journalist from being hit by a yellow taxi cab in Manhattan. "I literally, LITERALLY just got saved from a car by Ryan Gosling. Literally. That actually just happened."
"I was crossing 6th avenue in a new pink wig. Not looking the right way because I am from London. Ryan Gosling grabbed me away from a taxi."
