R.I.P. — MITCH LUCKER (1984 - 2012) — R.I.P.

R.I.P. — MITCH LUCKER (October 20th, 1984 – November 1st, 2012) — R.I.P.

Sadly, a female friend of mine passed-away a few months ago from a horrific motorcycle accident and now, Mitch Lucker — lead singer of a platinum-selling deathcore band Suicide Silence — recently passed-away from injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident as well.

Suicide Silence frontman Mitch Lucker was killed in horrific motorcycle accident

Police reports state, Lucker lost control of his black 2013 Harley Davidson at 8:55pm on Halloween and fatally slammed into a light pole on Main Street in Huntington Beach, CA. He passed-away at UC Irvine Medical Center on Thursday, November 1st, 2012.

Mitch leaves behind his "beautiful" wife Jolie and their "adorable" 5-year-old daughter Kenadee...

Not only was Suicide Silence one of my favorite extreme bands of the modern era, I had recently proclaimed Mitch Lucker to be the heavy music industry's sickest & most talented vocalist!

...and band mascot: Parker
  • Lucker was in surgery for 8 hours before he died
  • According to Lucker’s wife, Jolie Carmadella, Mitch made a decision to “drink and ride” on Halloween night.
  • He was “angry” when he left the house
  • Friends, family and fans organized a candlelight vigil last night for Mitch at the location of the accident
  • The accident occurred when Lucker lost control of his bike and collided with a light pole at the corner of Main and 13th Streets in Huntington Beach, CA

A rising rockstar's life, music career and sold-out stadium concerts was cut-short from perhaps the most dangerous vehicle that continues to be used by thrill-seekers today. As reported by his wife, the 28-yr-old musician left his house while intoxicated and lost control of his Harley before crashing into a light pole. The horrific collision threw him from the bike and the motorcycle continued sliding down the street until it struck a pick-up truck. Although Lucker was taken to the hospital, he was pronounced dead by the next morning.

Regardless of whether he lived his life recklessly is not the point. He leaves a wife, a daughter and millions of fans in mourning. Tragically enough, Lucker is the second heavy metal star to have passed-away in Huntington Beach — Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, the talented drummer for Avenged Sevenfold died in 2009 — only the good & talented seem to die young...R.I.P.

"Bands on Tour TV was lucky enough to attend the Candle Light Vigil in honor of Mitchell Adam Lucker who died early November 1st, 2012. His fans, family, and friends share stories of how great a guy he was and how he died. Our prayers go out to Jolie, Kenadee, and all his family, friends and fans."
