Scarlett Johansson is a Hollywood actress who is widely considered One of the Sexiest Women in Show Business — a native New Yorker by way of Jewish & Danish decent. Scarlett developed an interest in acting at an early age of three and began acting professionally by eight — she made her stage debut opposite Ethan Hawke in the off-Broadway production of Sophistry and subsequently appeared in the little-seen Just Cause (1995) and If Lucy Fell (1996)

Her first significant screen breakthrough was her role in Manny & Lo (1996) followed by a more significant role alongside Robert Redford in The Horse Whisperer (1998). The actress garnered even more attention in "critically-acclaimed" cult film Ghost World (2001). Johansson's stock began to rise -as demand among indie directors were soaring, eventually catching the attention of the Hollywood elites.
