Word thru the grapevine... ...New York Knicks defensive-minded, explosive & sensational rookie: Iman Shumpert from Georgia Tech could make his NBA 2012-13 season debut on Thursday, January 17th, 2013 against the Detroit Pistons overseas in London, England.
"Cheers! Cheerio chaps!!"
Shumpert is returning from a a freak injury (left ACL and meniscus tear) suffered last April '12 while dribbling across mid-court during the first round of the playoffs against the Miami Heat.

He can dominate either guard position and is strong enough to suffocate small forwards as well.
For those watching the Knicks –as of late, it's apparent that they are in dire need of someone who can help or replace Raymond Felton at the one-spot.
Jason Kidd –39, is an excellent "off-ball" defender and Pablo Prigioni –35, is adept at stealing (esp. during the in-bounds play) but both are not your atypical "on-ball" defender.
Iman Shumpert is a young, athletic and defensively conscious combo-guard...in other words, he's everything this team is not.

He is now poised for a comeback; equipped w/ new hair-do — "John Starks' high-top" and a brand new mixtape.
NBA fans (esp. Knicks fans) anxiously await the return of their prized-rookie whom Sir Charles Barkley once stated, "(Dwayne) Wade is gonna have his hands full with Shumper 'cause Shumpert is one of the best defenders we have in this league” — the only rookie to receive votes for the Defensive Player of the Year Award in 2011-2012 season...
...to be continued.
