Serena Williams Oldest No. 1 Ranked Women's Tennis Player


Serena Williams, at 31, is currently the oldest No. 1 Ranked Women's Tennis Player since the Women’s Tennis Association rankings began in November 1975.


Past elder champions Chris Evert & Martina Navratilova were 30 when they last held the number one ranking. While Williams’s longtime arch-rival Lindsay Davenport was 29 in her last stretch at the top, and Steffi Graf was 27.
