Detroit Lions Welcome Reggie Bush — former Dolphins & Saints Running Back

Lions agree to four-year deal with RB Reggie Bush
by Will Brinson

The Lions brought Reggie Bush to Detroit on Wednesday -- and he showed up in a white limosine apparently! -- and didn't let him leave before signing him to a four-year contract.

Bush, who emerged as a feature back during his last two years in Miami, was reportedly offered the starter's gig in Detroit over Mikel LeShoure in order to entice him into coming to Motown.

He was obviously interested and enters into a pretty good situation.

It's a weird fit for Bush's personality, of course: he was in Los Angeles for college, got drafted to New Orleans and then moved to South Beach. Detroit isn't exactly, um, those places.

But the Lions desperately needed a more complete back. LeShoure only averaged 3.7 yards per carry in 2012 and Bush is one of the elite pass-catching backs in the NFL.

Reggie Bush attempts to follow in Barry Sanders footsteps

Bush and Detroit were one of the matches that made sense in terms of free agency, so it's not a stunner to see that he ended up with the Lions, who've had a busy day thus far on Wednesday, bringing back cornerback Chris Houston and signing defensive lineman Jason Jones. — CBS Sports
