Tale of Two Justins: Justin Bieber -vs- Justin Timberlake

And in this corner, we have 19-yr-old Justin Bieber — hailing from Ontario, Canada and in the other corner, we have 32-yr-old Justin Timberlake — hailing from Memphis, Tennessee....

...the two are considered the Reigning Prince & King of Pop — who have been dealing w/ beef on two totally different levels.

Biebs took to a 300-word rant on Instagram (I thought it was an online photo sharing network) while JT slipped in a smooth change in lyrics ("My hit’s so sick / Got rappers acting dramatic") on a recent Saturday Night Live performance.

 Childish -vs- Mature
"Catching Feelings" -vs- "Suit & Tie"

What's age got to do w/ it anyways?

Justin Timberlake Takes A Jab At Kanye West During ‘SNL’ Performance
by Henna Kathiya

During Justin Timberlake’s fifth stint hosting “Saturday Night Live,” the SNL vet hit a high point last night when he made a jab at Kanye during his performance of “Suit & Tie.”

During Kanye West’s performance at London’s Hammersmith Apollo Theatre a few weeks ago he went off on one of his characteristic rants that took a jab at Justin and Jay-z’s efforts. “Remind me again who’s the original super-fly? And I got love for Hov but I ain’t f---ing with that ‘Suit & Tie’," he told the crowd.

JT didn’t let that comment go unanswered. He replied back playfully during his performance of the song last night. During the second verse he smoothly slipped in the line, "My hit’s so sick, got rappers acting dramatic."

Hov stepped in the middle of the song to deliver his lines with the Tennessee Kids grooving in the background.

The “Mirrors” singer was on top of his game last night, hitting every comedic high point in the show and his subtle response to Yeezy was among some of the best moments during last night’s episode. — MTV

Justin Bieber Slams Press Reports In Instagram Rant: 'I Know Who I Am'
by Gil Kaufman

Singer's Instagram post lashes out at rumors
about rehab,
family disappointment and
'countless lies' in the press.
It's an understatement to say that Justin Bieber has had a rough couple of weeks. But, through it all — the concert cancellations and late starts, the paparazzi battles and the nightclub misunderstandings — he's tried to keep his head up and stay positive.

On Thursday (March 14) though, the singer had had enough. In a 300-word rant posted on his Instagram account, Bieber lashed out at what he said were malicious lies in the press about him, his family, his career and his health.

"Everyone in my team has been telling me, 'keep the press happy,' but I'm tired of all the countless lies in the press right now," wrote Bieber under a black-and-white picture of him greeting a huge group of fans. (The post appeared to have been taken down at press time, less than two hours after it first went up. However, Bieber reposted it at 12:15 p.m. ET with additions and omissions.)

"Saying I'm going to rehab and how my family is disappointed in me. My family is beyond proud, and nothing's been said by them, my grandparents wouldn't know how to reach to press even of they did want to so that was a lie and rehab c'mon." The former was seemingly a response to a tabloid report in which Bieber's grandparents reportedly expressed their disappointment in his recent actions and concerns about the crew he's been running with. While the allegations about a trip to rehab have gotten less attention, they clearly upset the star, who recently celebrated his 19th birthday.

"If anyone believes I need rehab that's their own stupidity," he wrote. "LOL. I'm 19 with 5 number one albums, 19 and I've seen the whole world. 19 and I've accomplished more than I could've ever dreamed of. I'm 19 and it must be scary to some people to think that this is just the beginning."

The self-defense came a few days after Bieber's longtime manager, Scooter Braun, spoke out to refute the allegations. "There's nothing wrong with him," Braun told E! News. "He's in a great place." Braun joined One Direction and Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith in supporting their pal.

A spokesperson for Bieber has no comment.

Bieber said he is secure in his talent level and assured his legion of Beliebers that he has his head on straight.

"I know who I am and I know who I'm not," he wrote. "My message is to believe. My albums could be about anything but my messages have been to never say never and believe, not to believe in me, but to believe in yourself .. I honestly don't care if you don't believe in me because I believe in me, and look where that's gotten me so far ... I'm writing this with a smile on my face and love in my heart. Letting u know first hand how I feel rather than have these story linger. I'm a good person with a big heart. And don't think I deserve all of this negative press I've worked my ass off to get where I am and my hard work doesn't stop here. I'm growing up finding myself while having people watch me and criticise me everyday I think I'm doing pretty damn good."

The post ended with a not-so-subtle jab at the tabloid press, as well as another young star who has had to deal with her fair share of distressing headlines. "And to those comparing me to Lindsey Lohan," he wrote. "Look at her 2012 tax statements ;)"

A spokesperson for Bieber sent a statement from the singer to MTV News after the amended note was published. "My post was only up for a few minutes but I realized right away that what I said at the end was wrong and distracted from what I was trying to say," Bieber said of the Lohan dig. "Immediately deleted it and rewrote it so it would show what I was really feeling and those words are up now."

Bieber reposted an amended version of the rant a short time after taking it down, minus the Lohan bit and a part about how he's growing up and finding himself while having to deal with distressing headlines. He also added a few more sentences, including this bit near the end: "All this isn't easy. I get angry sometimes. I'm human. I'm gonna make mistakes. I'm gonna grow and get better from them. But all the love from you guys overcomes the negativity. I love u. Thanks." — MTV
