Today — Wednesday, March 20th, 2013 is the first day of Spring 2013 in the Northern Hemisphere.
Barring adverse climate changes and weird weather patterns — courtesy of man-made pollutants and mankind's reckless participatory hand in the destruction of Planet Earth, the Spring Equinox should bring increasing daylight, warming temperatures, and the rebirth of flora & fauna.
The word "equinox" is derived from the Latin words meaning “equal night” — as days and nights are approx. equal and the Sun rises & sets due East & West.
