One of the Greatest Japanimation Movies Ever Made — practically help set-off an Animation/Comic/Toy Revolution — Anime before Anime was popular.
The Transformers - The Movie (1986) features the Hollywood voices of Eric Idle, Judd Nelson, Leonard Nimoy, Casey Kasem, Robert Stack, Lionel Stander, John Moschitta, Jr., Peter Cullen, Frank Welker — evidently & sadly marked the final roles for both Orson Welles & Scatman Crothers.
Perhaps igniting a trend in Hollywood.
THE TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE (1986) is a follow-up to their popular 80's cartoon show and is set in the "future" year 2005. The Autobots "good" are in an never-ending war against the Decepticons "evil" but when their planet fell to their arch-enemies, the Autobots befriended humans and set-up a base on Earth. The story unfolds onto a large scale as the Decepticon warlord Megatron launches a sneak attack on Earth's Autobot City that proved to be lethal — introducing the world to The Matrix.
Meanwhile, a new, galactical menace enters the universe, a ginormous robot called Unicron; a "planet-sized" machine that destroys and eats other planets — making Galactus seem like Silly Putty.
The incredible saga unfolds and the story enlightens its viewers — robots never felt so human.
