BLOOD RIVER CROSSING by Smithsonian Channel

BLOOD RIVER CROSSING

A baby zebra and his mother join hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and other herbivores on a bloody mission through the predator-packed expanses of the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem. Their mission is survival, but when the mother and son become separated in the crocodile-infested Mara River, each must fight its own battle alone. This unprecedented view of nature's turmoil is told through some of the most spectacular migration footage ever filmed. Thanks to remote-controlled boat-cams and camera drones, penetrating a battlefield no cameraman would dare enter, you have the front row seat for the zebra's harrowing journey through East Africa.

At only seven weeks old, a zebra foal plunges into the murky depths of a river teeming with hungry crocodiles.

Nature's Ultimate Ambush

When thousands of wildebeest and zebras make their way across the Mara River, it's a feeding frenzy for the river's ravenous crocodiles.
