theOPENING DAY STORY

[Note: NBA's Hall of Fame player/owner Joe Dumars depicted in the red cap]

Once upon a time... ...my best friend's father is a front-desk manager of a prestigious Manhattan hotel who's "live-in" celebrity guests include Rod Stewart and famed-60 Minutes reporters Mike Wallace & Ed Bradley — whom both recently passed-away R.I.P.

My best bud's dad was real cool w/ a big-time lawyer; who provided him w/ not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 season tickets to the New York Yankees games whenever he was out-of-town. And so, I've been lucky enough to attend close to a dozen Yankees game — literally six rows from the first-base side, "Holy Cow!"

"How 'bout that?"
