La La Rips Celtics' Bench Player

Carmelo’s honey zings Boston bench nut

Hell hath no fury like an angry basketball wife.

La La Vasquez yesterday ripped the Boston Celtic bench-warmer who nearly started a brawl after Game 5 with a lewd comment about the reality diva to her hubby, Knick star Carmelo Anthony.

La La Vasquez gained prominence as an MTV VJ on their Total Request Live — TRL played the Top 10 most requested videos of the day

“STRONG WOMEN only intimidate weak men,” she posted on her Instagram page yesterday, in a dig at Celtic no-name Jordan Crawford.

She also wrote, “Try again. You on the bench for a reason.”

Crawford touched off the near-melee seconds after the Boston win at the Garden by barking at Anthony, “That motherf--ker f--ked your wife!”

He was referring to Boston star Kevin Garnett, who on Jan. 7 told Anthony during a game that his wife “tastes like Honey Nut Cheerios.” The Anthonys were having marital problems at the time.

The players had to be separated, but Anthony later barked at Garnett outside the locker rooms and tried to confront him on Boston’s team bus.

“It’s something you just don’t say to men, another man,” Anthony said at the time. He was suspended for a game.

Anthony was more diplomatic this time around, telling reporters after the game, “I’m not thinking about Jordan Crawford. Not at this point in time. I’ll tell you that . . . I don’t think he deserves for you to be typing [about him].”

The Boston scrub — who plays barely 14 minutes a game — kept moving toward the locker room after his nasty remark, leaving his teammates to push and shove on his behalf.

Crawford, despite clear video evidence, denied making the comment.

“I would never talk trash about that man’s wife,” Crawford tweeted yesterday,

Lala was her normal articulate self throughout the interview, but couldn't help but laugh when asked about the commentary about the cereal.
