Jake Bugg — The Third Coming of The Beatles & Oasis

Jake Bugg — The Third Coming of The Beatles & Oasis
by KONGFUSION©

Many decades have passed since The Beatles (Liverpool) literally revolutionized not only the music industry w/ 177 million records sold but humanity in itself; evolving into the greatest & most influential act in the rock era — and only a couple decades have passed since Oasis (Manchester) rule the rock airwaves and album charts w/ 70 million records sold.

Just when it seemed all was quite in the English rock fore-front — from the ashes of his fore-fathers, rises a one-man wrecking machine — Jake Bugg (Nottingham).

At only 19-yrs of age, Bugg was awarded the "British Breakthrough Act" in 2013. What sets him apart from the founding fore-fathers is that he is a solo artist. His blistering guitar seems au naturally-seamless.

Is it me or are the Brits producing the best new music artists in the New Millenium? La Roux, Adele, Mumford & Sons, Calvin Harris, Emeli Sandé and now, Jake Bugg...

"precocious talent fusing retro folk with blistering contemporary rock riffs"

"All across the land he has been working hard, playing songs and garnering new converts wherever he goes."

"...pegged as an East Midlands (Bob) Dylan..."

UK singer-songwriter Jake Bugg is only 19 years old, but he's already carved a spot for himself in the contemporary Brit-pop landscape. This is due in no small part to his virtuosic guitar playing, so we trekked over to Amsterdam to discuss "Flamengo"-style guitar, DADGAD tuning, and the genius of Tears For Fears.
