One of the Epic Moments that Made theKONGBLOG™ Cry...

INSIDE KNOWDLEGE:

— From the moment this song from the Forrest Gump soundtrack was played in the movie to practically the end...those scenes had given me a tear in my eye — I vaguely remember watching this movie w/ my childhood schoolmates and was like, "theGREATEST MOVIE of ALL-TIMES!"
Dean Karnazes

"Dean Karnazes!  That is the name of the man who ran across the entire United States of America.  Starting in Disneyland California, where he lives in the San Francisco bay area, and ending in a Manhattan TV studio during the show Live! With Regis and Kelly.

He averaged 40 to 50 miles per day, running anywhere from 8 to 15 hours a day.  He also ran through 50 pairs of shoes during the journey.  When asked about the long run he said the worst moment of the run was after the first day and the best moment was arriving in the studio at the end.  Karnazes also said, “Running 3,000 miles doesn’t tell the whole of it.  The weather conditions, the mountains, the desert; I mean, it was just intense!”  I bet it was!  The long trek took him 75 days.

Highly defined calves of Dean Karnazes the "real life" Forrest Gump

He is a Mega-Marathoner who came in well qualified to accomplish this feat.  He is a fitness advocate who had previously run 50 marathons in 50 days, in all 50 states.  That is no small feat in itself!  He has also written a book called Run! 26.2 Stories of Blisters and Bliss.  Dean is a real-life Forrest Gump!" by Corky Cork

— How ironic FORREST GUMP (1994) was director by Robert  Zemeckis –the same director from FLIGHT (2012)
